About the Author
Yago Santos nace en Bilbao en 1985 y comienza su formación musical a los cinco años de la mano de su madre. Es a esa edad cuando ingresa en la Sociedad Coral de Bilbao donde durante diez años estudia piano, lenguaje musical, armonia y coro. Paralelamente obtiene la licenciatura de Administracion y Direccion de Empresas y Master en Habilidades Directivas por la Universidad Comercial de Deusto y School of Economics and Management of Tilburg University. 2010 es el año mágico en el que conoce al maestro Rafael Riqueni, quien lo reclama como segundo guitarrista para realilzar la presentacion de su disco en el Teatro Lope de Vega de Sevilla y para grabar en su disco Parque de Maria Luisa (junto a artistas como Mayte Martin, Jose Luis Lopez, Guillermo McGuill, Manolo Calleja etc.) A partir de ahi comienza una andadura profesional muy prolifica que le lleva a tocar en numerosos paises y a compartir cartel con algunas de las mas relevantes figuras del flamenco Durante este periodo se afianza tambien en el toque para el baile. Realiza giras por Mexico, EEUU, Holanda, Belgica, Dinamarca, Nigeria, Suecia etc. tocando en teatros como el Concertgebow de Amsterdam o el Teatro Bellas Artes de Mexico. Ha trabajado con bailaores como Maria Juncal, Alfonso Losa, La Truco o Carmela Greco, con la que actua en el homenaje al Guito compartiendo escenario junto a figuras del baile como el mismo Guito o Manolete. Con 27 años es invitado por la City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong para interpretar el Concierto de Aranjuez de Joaquin Rodrigo bajo la direccion del francés Jean Thorel. En la actualidad, sus 28 años realiza un master en composicion, direccion de orquesta y orquestacion con Pierre Strauch, Juan Jose Solana o Cristian Dierntein al tiempo que confecciona su proximo trabajo discografico.

20 Guitar Etudes (Spanish Edition) is a great book to treasure to obtain a better Flamenco Guitar Education. Written by a virtuous student of the well known Maestro Rafael Riqueni, Yago Santos is a very gifted musician and his guitar skills are Top Level 21st Century Musician!!!. On top of that, there is a beautiful well documented biography of the Artist/Author of the book on both languages, English and Spanish. Can't get any better than this!!!
