A little easy

I'm 11 years old, been playing piano for 6 years and I found this book to be a little easy for the level. Before, I had used the piano adventures series which ends at level 5, so I switched to these. Most of the pieces are actually about a level 5, so I always passed them with one week of practice. What's good about this book is that it clearly explains every concept and has a piece that goes along with the concept. If you have a choice though, I think you should skip level 6 and go straight on to play piano pieces.
Some things that this book focuses on are triads (augmented and diminished), chords, different kinds of rhythems, and the keys of D minor, F# minor, E major, C# minor, and A flat major. It also introduces thirty-second notes.

This book has some great songs in it. They are not really too hard to play. It does a good job of showing you how to play them.

Best of the Lesson Books for Late Intermediate

One of my favorite music books, even after 11 years since using it as a student. Alfred Series starts off rough and a bit too challenging for my tastes. But the Levels 5 and 6 are so good! My students have such a great challenge with the later end of this series with the solid assortment of music. So much variety, classical, obscure romantic and early 1900s works, hymns, patriotic, original fun works by the book authors, it's all here. I still end up playing my favorites from these books and bet it'll be a great choice for all teachers and students.
